#1 European Bluegrass Band
A brand new bluegrass band from Sweden.
The strength and growing popularity of the European World of Bluegrass (EWOB)

Festival, hosted by the European Bluegrass Music Association, reflects steady growth for the genre in the 14 countries represented by the 42 bands that showcased at the 2007 event.

G2, the young, high-energy bluegrass band from Sweden with impressive original material, took home the award for best band, as determined by professional musicians performing at EWOB. The band’s name ‘G2’ stands for ‘second generation’ (the band members’ parents play bluegrass too). The G2 Bluegrass Band will bear the title of
#1 European Bluegrass Band for the next 12 months.

G2 has only been around for a short while and already these guys have shown what can happen if you are a hard working band determined enough to create your own sound and make it tasteful.

They knew each other before they started as a band, so the roots are built on true friendship, and according to themselves, this is the key factor; to enjoy playing good music whilst having fun!
